On Sunday the 24th of September, Lee invited me to the Couch to Comp at the Selsey centre. I thought it was amazing! And even though it was a competition, all of them got along together like a family. First their were the children's rounds, followed by the Couch to Comp. As the compere announced the next rounds, the competitors came out to their own choice of music and headed for their corner.
Before the fights, I spoke to some of the competitors and asked them a couple of questions. Some of them were raising money for the Snowdrop trust, some Cancer research, and others Chichester diabetes and the NNU. Next I asked them what made them want to do kickboxing. Jamie encouraged two of the fighters to do it, some others did it for fitness and the rest did it for their kids and to take part. Also at the end of all the fights, there was a raffle with wonderful prizes,I won two carveries at the Riviera. And as a result Lee has raised £1882.00, so quite a lot.
